Where to Go
There are hundreds of places to go in Ireland. For you history buffs you can visit some of Ireland’s castles and even stay the night. Places like Blarney Castle in Cork, Bunratty Castle in Clare, Doe Castle in Donegal, or Ashford Castle in Galway to name a few. Or perhaps you are interested in Irish culture? Dublin is a great place to start! Within this historic city lie several theaters to hear some of Ireland’s best music. Everything from folk to pirate metal you’ll find everything to satisfy your curiosities. Also in Dublin is St. Patrick’s cathedral, the largest in the country. There you can view phenomenal art and attend a service if you please. While you are in Dublin and you happen to be over 18 (the legal drinking age in Ireland) visit the Guinness factory. You can sample beer while you bath in beer. That’s right a beer bath, nuff said.

For the adventurous traveler there are many things to do outside of the cities. Take a bike ride around Ireland’s lush landscapes and Cliffside’s. Or perhaps explore many of the castle ruins throughout the Island. Or you can venture out to Cork and kiss the Blarney Stone. According to Irish lore it will give you the gift of gab. After all that you are probably looking for a place to eat and while you are at it try something new. There are many traditional restaurants in Dublin that serve native cuisine. Avoca in Dublin serves mushroom soup, rillette of duck with crusty bread or their “sell-out-fast” creamy fish pie. But for the less adventurous you will find your traditional chain restaurants there as well. Now all you need to do is get there.
