LegacyWilliams passed away in 2002 leaving fans of the Red Sox and baseball alike stunned and sad. Williams was suffering from a heart disorder in which he already suffered two strokes. After he passed away he requested his remained to be cremated. In a controversial act, his son supposedly cryogenicly froze his head.
As a baseball player, Williams will always be remembered as one of the best. Some speculate that he is nothing to great due to his dead pull hitter habit, but regardless he lost several years of his prime to the army service it could have been even better. Williams will also be remembered for his heroics in the war, and his humanitarian work. Overall, Williams should be remembered as an exemplary citizen and a great person. Admiration To such a person should be given without a doubt and I hope that this project brought about a new light on the American hero, Ted Williams. |
